What is Dolphins Challenge Cancer?

DCC hosts multiple events year-round, as well as, our annual 5K walk/run and multi-distance rides featuring fundraising, police escorts, trained marshals, water stops, mechanical and medical assistance.

Last year’s event raised over $10.5M and brought together over 5,000 participants, 332 teams, 47 sponsors and 397 survivors all focused on raising funds for patients, doctors and researchers at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center


1. Choose your challenge

DCC XIV features 6 different participation options suited for all skill levels.

  • Walk/Run the 5K around Hard Rock Stadium on the new Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix track.
  • Ride 13mi, 39mi, 54mi, or 99mi cycling routes named after Miami Dolphins Hall of Famers and enjoying South Florida’s most scenic areas.
  • Virtual Participants not attending the event can also join in on the fun by fundraising for the cause and earning a unique set of benefits.


2. Register

Registration is currently open with tiered pricing. See below for fee totals and increase dates. The sooner you register the more you save.

3. Choose team type

Participate in the DCC solo, join one of over 300+ teams or create your own. Teams can be made up of friends, family members and/or colleagues.

To start a team - during the registration process the chosen team captain will need to select “create a team” from the prompted dropdown tab. Once completed, additional members will be able to select “join a team” from the prompted dropdown and search by team name.

  • There is no limit to how many members a team can have. Teams consist of anywhere from 2 to 500+ members.
  • Teams can be all one participant type or a mix of walkers, runners, riders and virtual participants.
  • There is no additional cost or fundraising commitment to ride as a team.
  • Each team member is responsible for their own fundraising minimum for their chosen route.

4. Fundraise

When registering for DCC you are committing to a fundraising minimum. Fundraising commitments vary by route but participants have until March 14th to meet or exceed their minimum. Upon registration participants will receive a personalized Donor Drive dashboard equipped with donation tracking, email templates, easy share links and more, plus the DCC team is always here to help! Your commitment supports the DCC’s mission of raising funds and giving back 100% to research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

5. Celebrate

The big day! Walk, run or ride in your chosen event, then join us for the festival. Partake in our many sponsored activations and party along with our on-stage performers and presentations. Fundraising continues into March and then celebrations keep going throughout October with a gift presentation to Sylvester at the annual NFL Crucial Catch game.
